Claudius
My Character is that of a poor plebeian I find Julius Caesar to be a great and gracious man. Before Julius, I was jobless and I and my family were poor with no land. We starving and were on the brink of death until Julius Caesar came along. His plans to build aqueducts in Rome gave me a job as builder. I and my family found income and we were able to also own land and a house because of his land reforms. This is just one of the many things that Julius Caesar did to improve the lives of us poor plebeians. Along with building Aqueducts in Rome, he also had other public work projects. For one instance he passed laws stating that one third of all agricultural laborers have to be plebeian. This helped also my fellow plebeians because before rich patricians would make their slaves work agriculture, but not they must hire us and pay us wages. Julius Caesar also gave us the option of joining his army in order to get money. He also provided many things for us, such as games and spectacles free of charge. Unlike rulers before him, he did not favour the rich over the poor as he stopped giving grain to rich. He was a visionary who sought to improve the lives of everybody in Rome.
