Marcus Trajanus
My name is Marcus Trajanus. I am a Spaniard not a Roman. After the second Punic war Rome took control of my home, Spain. Once they took over we lost our power and rights to join the army or hold an kind of position of power. On top of that we were treated like conquered subjects. This was all very demeaning and frustrating. Going form being a free citizen who was allowed to work their way up in life to being a conquered person was a horrible experience. I am a supporter of Julius Caesar because after he came into power all of that changed. Caesar gave us back power and the right to join the army and fight for our home. We weren't treated as conquered subjects anymore. I think that Julius Caesar is willing to give political rights to the people he conquers which is a good thing for Rome. Rome will have more supporters and will have an easier time gaining allies in times of need. Personally, after Caesar I was able to become a senator of a region in southern Spain. Later I was asked to join the Senate. This would have never happened if Caesar had not taken control.
