Views on Julius Caesar
(Roman Soldier - "Romulus")
Julius Caesar was an outstanding character who I view to be the greatest emperor (general???) I ever fought for. The Roman leader personally led his soldiers to battle by fighting the enemy along side us! We were all ready to die for him and for his name and honor. This was the result of the courage Caesar inspired us with. His words were enough to make us feel invincible; he forced us to believe that we are stronger than the enemy! Due to this belief, we were able to hold a psychological advantage on the battlefield. Our enemies felt the wrath of the Roman blade and soon we were able to win countless amounts of wars. Our successful campaign was organized and planned by the great Caesar himself. As we continued to expand Roman influence, our commander granted us countless amounts of land and riches. Evidence proves that In 56 BC Cicero convinced the Senate to reward Caesar’s armies in Gaul a substantial amount of wealth. Julius Caesar respect and rewarded his legion. He valued his army, and made us feel like a significant element in the Roman development. Caesar’s expertise on the battlefield allowed us soldiers to honor this man; we were ready to fight for him at any time of the day!
